东华理工学院核工程技术学院成立于2005年6月，是东华理工学院所属具有核科学与技术特色，以服务国防和地方经济建设为宗旨，以数学物理为基础，以应用地球物理为品牌的二级学院，学院下设地球物理、物理、核工三个系，基础物理教学和物理实验二个中心及环境与工程地球物理研究所、粒子与核物理研究所、辐射防护与工程研究中心、测试计量技术与仪器研究所等4个研究机构，有七个本科专业，四个硕士点。

成都理工大学应用核技术与自动化工程学院成立于2001年12月，是在原成都理工学院核原料与核技术工程系、勘察与机电工程系（机电工程部分）、信息工程学院（电气工程及其自动化部分）基础上组建而成的以工为主、理工结合的教学－科研型学院。学院具有博士、硕士和学士三个办学层次，现有1个国家级重点学科，1个省级重点实验室，3个博士点、6个硕士点及1个工程硕士点，7个本科专业。
