针对当前文件备份领域中存在备份效率低、速度慢的问题，提出一种基于差异的远程文件备份方法。改进传统Rsync算法，实现差异文件的计算功能，从而减少网络数据传输，保证传输的高效性。实验结果表明，与传统文件备份方法相比，该方法能减少网络流量，提升备份与恢复的效率。
