循环水泵主要是向汽轮机的凝汽器供给冷却水，因此循环水泵安装质量的好坏将影响凝汽器出力，严重时，会引起汽轮机停机事故。田湾核电站四台循环水泵中无备用泵，因此水泵安装质量对机组运行的重要性大大提高。从保证安装质量出发，针对循环水泵安装技术进行探索、总结，并在工程中加以应用和推广。
